Colorado and the plains states are experiencing a rapid growth in wind generated electricity and we are proud to be a part of this new frontier. Everyone at RMCS is working hard for a cleaner, sustainable future. We are currently utilizing 250 ton, 300 ton and 440 ton cranes for large wind turbine maintenance and erection.

Custom Crane Rental Services

For projects small and large we can provide a variety of cranes and accessory equipment to fit your needs. We thrive on unique jobs requiring innovative solutions. RMCS can provide specialized rigging, engineering, fabrication, specialty tools and equipment to get the job done.

Industrial Heavy Lifting

Rocky Mountain Crane Service has two of Colorado's largest cranes, supporting 440 tons of lifting capacity, main boom and luffing jib combinations up to 512 feet and capable of lifting loads out to a 260 foot radius. We have a wide variety of experience in industrial, mining, oil field, agricultural and plant work.

Bridge Construction and Pile Driving

No bridge is too large or too small. From prefabricated pedestrian bridges to interstate overpasses; from simple girder installation to complete bridge construction, we have completed projects of all types and phases of bridge construction including:

  • Careful removal of an old bridge for salvage or protection of waterways or underlying streets or railroad tracks
  • Pile driving for foundations, abutments, piers and retaining walls
  • Placement of forms, rebar cages, steel and concrete girders, pre cast components, box culverts, deck panels, railings, archways, etc.

Moving and Hauling

Part of our operations involve moving buildings, large structures and equipment. To complete our crane services, we offer specialized moving and heavy hauling, access into remote areas with our 4x4 semi tractor and other customized services.

Millwright Services

In addition to crane rentals, we have a wide variety of other lifting and moving equipment. Porta-power units, hydraulic jacks up to 600 tons, hydraulic side shift tables, forklifts, bolsters, dollies, rollers, cribbing and matting can be combined to meet your specific needs.

Dragline and Specialty Services

Revitalize your lake inlets, channels and ponds. Draglines are one of the most efficient digging machines ever created. Our 1 1/2 cubic yard machine can move approximately 600 cubic yards of material per day.

For tight locations such as behind retaining walls we have a clamshell bucket.

Demolition debris, burned buildings, brush and log debris, and other loose materials can be easily cleaned up using a crane fitted with our demolition, clamshell style bucket. It has 36 inch long teeth that can grab large amounts of debris.

The people here at RMCS have designed and fabricated a specialized 6 foot diameter grapple hook which has proven highly effective for rock scaling projects, bringing down large amounts of material that would traditionally have to be drilled and bolted. We also have a large chain drag device for bringing down very loose material.
